If a list is updated at least annually, or has monthly hotline subscribers, it can be a good source of prospects. A qualified list broker, experienced in the business-to-business market, is your best resource for locating business lists. No matter where you obtain your lists, accuracy is your primary concern. For general prospecting, an SIC list allows you to blanket an entire business or industry nation wide or within your region. Direct response business lists should be your first choice if you're selling through mail order.
